This week
has been mostly filled with Book of Mormon reading, but Christmas was
amazing!!!!!! I got to see Jesse (from Moose Jaw) Christmas Eve because
his family lives in my area. We met him at this random Chinese
Restaurant. He is so busy. It was good to see with fresh eyes where he
is at. Then we went Caroling at an Old Folks Home in Pilot Butte with
the Svenson's. So fun. We went to there house where they got us all
Rider's Pajamas (Saskatchewan Rough Riders are a Canadian Football
League team and the biggest thing that's ever happened to this province)
and we played mini-sticks (AKA indoor floor hockey.)
Christmas
day we got to spend the whole day with the Kach's minus a quick stop at
Shanon's. We watched How to Train your Dragon 2, Tangled, and played
Ticket to Ride. At the end of the night I had Brother Kach give me a
blessing. It was so sweet. His eyes were all watery at the end. I
love that family!
Speaking of which- Miracle:
This week we challenged Jordan Kach, our friend in YSA, to give us a
refferal. He challenged four of his friends to meet with us and one of
them said yes!!!!! She is the girl friend of Jordan's inactive best
friend and we are SO excited!!!! Jordan is amazing and he is growing in
the gospel so much!!!
And the last miracle.
Right now we are emailing at the church, but we started our email time
at this random little library in the hood that we'd never been to before
because other missionaries were using the Church computers. We got up
to leave after about 20 minutes of little kids swearing all around us.
As we left, there was a girl who asked us how long we'd been here for.
"20 minutes" I said. "No. In Regina" Turns out, she met with
missionaries two years ago and wants us to meet with her again!!! We
have an appointment set up for Saturday! Pray for us! :)
My
last thought is from the Book of Mormon reading. So many people in the
Book of Mormon prayed that these records would be preserved for the
Lamanites, that in some future day they would receive the gospel. That
day is now. I have never worked in an area with so many First Nations
people before. This is my time to share with them what the Prophets in
the Book of Mormon so desperately wanted to be shared. Love it!!!
Much Love!!!! Sister Heidi Hill
